A one-legged biker missed a court appearance because his home-made artificial leg broke, trapping him in his attic for two whole days.
Robert McCutcheon decided to live in his loft when the rest of his house became too cluttered with a bizzare collection of objects including a hovercraft and several motorbikes.
His artificial foot snapped off and McCutcheon was stuck, he couldn't make a phone call because he claims he was out of credit on his mobile phone. He eventually managed to swap his broken leg for another spare one he had in the loft, then climbed down a ladder to escape.
The court let him off the warrant issued for his arrest for non-appearance for allegedly possessing drugs.
"It's all been quite embarrassing really," he said.
