NORFOLK IS set to follow Oxfordshire and other counties, when the region's speed camera network swicthes off as part of the county's new cost-cutting measures.
Earlier this week, Councillors approved plans to withdraw the budget for the cameras in light of Government cutbacks. The proposal to slash all funding for the Safety Camera Partnership was approved by nine votes to four.
The move would also signal the end for the county's mobile enforcement vans, which would also be taken out of action.
A final decision on the fate of the county's camera network will be taken on October 11.
