New MV Agusta superbike 'imminent'

MV AGUSTA will release a new superbike in just a few weeks' time. That's the news from the MV Agusta staff at the launch of their two new Brutale models.

Last month, Visordown was first to break the news of the new triple-cylinder middleweight seen testing in Italy.

This development comes after Harley Davidson bought MV Agusta in July 2008. Harley paid approximately £50m for MV and are aiming to turn the premium Italian brand around. On a recently Harley-Davidson launch, a high-ranking Harley bod mentioned that they had given the green-light to MV's plans to go racing in 'a top flight class'.

This almost certainly means MV's new superbike will be in the supersport category and could go racing at WSS level. The MV Agusta staff are rejuvenated and eager to get back on the map. Let's just hope this new superbike is as good looking at the MV F4 - one of the most stunning bikes of all time.
