A NEW website aiming to cut motorcycle deaths on Yorkshire's roads has been launched by Leeds City Council - www.qualityyorkshireriders.com
Statistics say there were 2,021 motorbike collisions between 2005 and 2007 in West Yorkshire, resulting in 661 killed or seriously injuries.
The Council teamed up with West Yorkshire Casualty Reduction Partnership to create a website providing information and advice, www.qualityyorkshireriders.com
David Glanville, Leeds road safety officer for powered two-wheelers, said: "This site provides a reference point for those wanting to improve their riding and gives listings of where's good to ride and where to avoid."
The site includes information on training, reminds riders of their personal safety responsibility and has a blog section where visitors can share information.
