MORE pictures of the new V-Max from Yamaha – showing the 70 degree V-twin motor that will power the muscle cruiser.

The 1800cc motor is expected to produce around 210bhp (compared with the original bike’s 145). According to Yamaha sources, the bike will use the fly-by-wire MotoGP throttle system already fitted to the R6.

It will redline around 9,500rpm although early reports have the £15,000 bike’s torque peaking at between 7 and 8,000rpm. The bike is expected to be on sale early 2009.
