A court appearance followed by a fine? Not in China, mate

A MOTORCYCLE THIEF has been shot dead by Police in southern China after he was involved in a stabbing while attempting to steal a motorbike.

One police officer received stab wounds after confronting the two thieves at around 6 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) while they were in the process of stealing the machine. One thief was captured, however, the other turned on the officer and his colleagues, stabbing him with a knife.

After firing warning shots, the officer shot the assailant, before being taken to hospital for stab wounds.

Nasty.

Why Nasty?

This is the way it SHOULD be!

(obviously without the stabbing..)

I think it is better to handle the thief in the arabic way: cut their hands off.

rotreg
Rather then approach it like adults and consider the reasons people steal bikes?

No offence rotreg but how do you mean...??
What is there to consider?

I have had 2 bikes stolen 10 years ago and they where never found back, also never got paid out by the insurance due to various contributing factors... (a streetlight is not stable enough to chain your bike too apparently)

I would not have thought it to be nasty if they where shot...

Should keep your hands of other peoples belongings...
No matter what the situation is....

Agree with toby & tj.

rotreg - the reason these scum steal bikes is because they are thieving gits who are to lazy to work for an honest living like the majority of decent people have to.... simple.

It's a lot easier to claim benefits and steal for a living rather than drag their lazy arses out of bed at 6 in the morning and have to graft all day. Why work when they can sleep all day in their free houses paid for by the rest of us.

AMEN TO THAT Teejay, Toby and Wacca

i have had 2 bikes stolen in recent years, by theiving pikeys. I think Teejay has it right, perhaps a tattoo of BIKE THIEF on their head as well?

Yeah so he got shot, good job, well thats what happens (or should) when you mess with another man's pride and joy.

antimagneto

I recently had my bike stolen. Personally, I believe best punishment would be to zip tie the twat to railings where I could watch him die over a period of days. Then, leave the pecked to nowt skeleton as a message to others.

Seems only fair.

Colonel Bob
I can only hope that whoever steals either of my motorbikes truly "rides it like he stole it".  I'd be very happy to see the thief wadded up on some lamp post.  Sort of like a perfect karma balance.  On the other hand, if I wake up in time to see the thief depart I'll have to waste a round from my 45.  Then I've got to lose a perfectly good firearm and talk my way through the resulting inquiry.  America, God I love it.
