A COUPLE in Woodford Green, London got the shock of their lives when a motorcycle thief crashed his stolen Yamaha through the front of their house and ended up in their living room.
Joy and Doug Shaw came down from their bedroom after hearing a loud bang in the front of their house at around 1.15am on Tuesday.
The tealeaf survived the incredible impact and ran off, he didn’t make it far though – an off-duty copper had heard the impact and grabbed the thief as he tried to run off.
A police spokeswoman said: "The suspect, aged 23, was found a short distance away and arrested on suspicion of stealing the motorbike. He remains at Whipps Cross Hospital at this stage with minor injuries."
