A POP-up health clinic attached to a motorcycle has been on show at an international health summit.
The motorcycle has a sidecar-style fitting to it that holds vaccinations, needle destroyers and general healthcare items.
The equipment enables the medic rider to carry out blood pressure checks, general healthcare checks and “even small surgery can be done with a suitable medical team” according to its British inventor Mike Norman.
The machine's purpose is to provide health services to remote villages in developing countries that wouldn’t otherwise have access to a health centre.
The setup is already being manufactured in South Africa at a cost of around $6,500.
The motorcycle was on display at the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) in Qatar on the 10th and 11th of December.
