VALENTINO Rossi and Colin Edwards unveiled their new-look Yamaha M1, confirming much speculation that the Factory Yamaha squad will be backed by the Italian car giant.
Rossi was beaten to the title by Honda's Nicky Hayden, but the Italian master feels that his team are in a much stronger position now, than they were last year. Pre-season testing backs this up too.
Rossi reckons Hayden's team mate, Pedrosa, will be the main threat on a Honda that was allegedly designed around the young Spaniard.
Rossi said during the conference: "This bike is enjoyable to ride and for me is incredibly quick. The design is one and we don't need to patch it anymore, not like in 2006. We have been competitive on every track during winter testing. Our main rivals? Everyone, but I think Pedrosa and Honda more than the rest. The riders on Bridgestone perhaps still have some problems."
