More lay-offs at Harley Davidson

Financial woes continue at USA's biggest bike manufacturer

HARLEY-DAVIDSON is temporarily laying off more workers in an effort to stave off the effects of difficult economics Stateside.

According to reports by the Press Association, a company spokesman announced the Milwaukee motorcycle manufacturer is laying off workers at its Springettsbury Township facility next week beginning Monday. The week layoff is in addition to Harley's planned shutdown from June 30 through July 3.

The exact number of workers that will be affected by the lay-offs has not yet been announced.
