Millenium Motorcycles no longer trading

St. Helens bike shop staff laid off

by Visordown News

MILLENIUM Motorcycles, a large motorcycle dealer in St. Helens, has laid off its staff and closed its doors to the public.

The shop - which had franchises for Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Kymco - stocked over 100 bikes and was a popular biker meeting point. It was also home to a motorcycle training centre and regularly held weekend events for bikers.

It's not clear at this stage if there is any future for Millenium Motorcycles. You can call the branch on 01744 616161

Good Afternoon everyone,

I'm pleased to advise that Millenium Motorcycles has now re-opened, under new ownership but retaining many of the original members of staff and offering a wide and diverse range of bikes, including;

Kawasaki's

Aprilia's

Benelli's

MV Agusta's

to mention just a few.

I thought the original administration was brought upon by the costs of running such a large business ? If it has re-opened on the same site..... what's changed.

The poor lad's running scared - surprisingly for a scouse bastard he's all talk and no action. Actually not a surprise at all

I for one would like to wish him well for the celebrations in the City of Vultures

Well I'm less than pleased that they are back in business!

They owe me money & wont repay it. Gift vouchers bought the day before they "went bust" are not being honoured by the new owners despite them buying the stock, building lease & trading name.

Oh .....the old Ltd company two step nice easy way to dump your creditors, just go into administration, zero all your outstanding liabilities and hey presto a new Ltd company comes out of the ashes...... clean as the day it was born. Nice one

Are they still Rev'it dealers ?

Posted: 25/03/2008 at 20:06

Mikeyw

No idea about being Rev'it dealers... they certainly used to be.

Having told me they weren't interested in honouring my vouchers I just left the shop, I certainly won't be buying anything from them ever again or recommending anyone else to.

The sooner they go bust again the better as far as I'm concerned.

Customer Service at Millenium - don't make me laugh!

Check KJM out on Google.

I can see why you would be angry about the vouchers but in reality they are only doing what a lot of other Ltd companies do when they go into administration. The old company ceases to be, the trading name on the signs above the door is all that remains but the true owner of the business (the Ltd company) has changed. The vouchers were issued and your cash was paid to the old company, which by now will be in the hands of the secured creditors.

Went there on Sat and found them to be a helpful bunch and they are still a Rev'it dealer. Got two jackets and awaiting delivery of the 2008 gloves.

That's the crazy world of Limited Liability, who wants to be a sole trader or partnership, just go Ltd, give no corporate guarantees and walk away when things go bad......... it's the modern way
