Biking legend and racing nutcase to star at Hein Gericke Luton open day this weekend
ON SATURDAY 30TH August, a biking legend Phil Read and road racing’s brightest rising star Guy Martin will be the special guests at an open day held at the Hein Gericke motorcycle clothing and accessories store on Dunstable Road, Luton.
Read scored over 50 Grand prix wins between 1961 and 1976, and became the first man ever to claim the 125, 250 and 500cc world titles. Read will be joined by 27-year-old Guy Martin who, as well as being one racing’s biggest characters, is already enjoying great success at the Isle of Man TT, and is tipped to become a big winner around the fearsome street circuit.
On the day, bikers will also be able to benefit from free suspension set-up* for their machines, courtesy of Performance Parts’ technical guru. Plus, everyone who attends will have the opportunity to enter the raffle to win biking prizes, including an Arai helmet signed by both racers, with all proceeds going direct to the local Air Ambulance charity.
Hein Gericke is located at 324 Dunstable Road and doors open at 9.00. Call 01582 401300 for further information.
* actual set-up limited to preload and damping adjustments on a first come first served basis.
