McGregor: The Long Way Hound?

Ewan McGregor plans to take pooch on next biking adventure

LONG WAY round/down/in/out star Charley Boorman could be left out in the cold after travelling companion Ewan McGregor said he may take his pet dog on his next big biking adventure.

Speaking at a promotional event for his upcoming film The Ghost, McGregor said he's seriously considering taking the pooch for his next jaunt. Apparently, the dog's used to riding in the star's sidecar combination.

"I might go on my own. I've got a dog, Sid. I've trained him to ride in my side car and I thought we could do a trip together," he said about his potential South American jaunt.

Oh no, not more motorbike TV from Ewan McGregor.  The first one was passable but the follow up was rotten.  And as for Charlie Boorman's subsequent stuff - what a steaming pile of shit.

Couple o' fannnies.

Mr. Slow

COULD BE A LOT WORSE HE COULD HAVE TAKEN HIS MISSIUS AGAIN.

SERIOUSLY, I THINK MCGREGOR AND BOORMAN HAVE OPENED SOME OF US UP TO THE FACT, THAT THERE IS MORE TO BIKING THAN SHOOTING DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL CAFE OR PULLING A WHEELIE.  IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW HOW MANY BIKERS WHO SLAG THEM OFF HAVE BEEN MORE THAN A 100 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE THEY LIVE. I FOR ONE GET ON MY TRUSTY STEAD (GSX 1400) AND HEAD OFF INTO EUROPE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR, MY MILAGE HAS GONE FROM 2500 MILES AYEAR TO ABOUT 8000 AND I'AM LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT. ANYWAY WHO WOULDN'T SWOP PLACES WITH THEM, RIDING YOUR BIKE AND GETTING PAID FOR IT. COME ON!!

MR. SLOW

Bloody right you are, Mr. Slow. I reckon that those who slag 'em off are just jealous. I know I am, but at least I admit it. If anybody's willing to pay me, I'd go round the world on my Kawasaki Z750 in the blink of an eye...

Any offers?

Not many of us have the resources to stop work, rent offices in West London, hire permanant staff to sort visa's and other travel arrangements, then get BMW to supply three brand new GS's and finally set off with two support trucks full of doctors, security staff and "local fixers", who, no doubt, ease border crossings with bagfuls of backsheesh.

Therefore none of their "adventures" are particularly relevant to most of us.

Mondo Enduro would be more like it. Talking of which, anyone catch Austin and Lois in the latest VD? What's with the boiler suits, Austin?
