McGregor rated Britain's most overpaid actor

Bike-mad Scot gets slammed in new list compiled by Forbes.com

EVERYONE'S favourite Jedi-superstar-biker Ewan McGregor has been placed as the second most overpaid film star in Hollywood.

A string of flop movies have boosted him up the ratings, coming in just behind Will Ferrell in the leagues of actors who star in movies that don't make much profit.

Forbes.com, who compiled the list, say that the films that McGregor starred in took on average £2.25 for every pound he was paid.

It said: "Ewan's recent movies have performed poorly, making him a terrible investment."

Other big names include Eddie Murphy and motorbike enthusiast Tom Cruise.

Never mind Ewan, just go grab another GS, pick a route somewhere and do another programme for the telly.

Who the fooook are Forbes anyway, and why would anyone believe them ? They are just another bunch of moneygrubbers trying to manipulate the financial markets into thier way of thinking.I'm pretty sure they predicted Enron was a top money making machine and failed to predict the US financial disaster. At the end of the day they are all a bunch of crystal ball gazers.

Aren't they all overpaid

I thought Ewans whole ethos was in getting involved in low budget films to try and help them & help those starting out to develop? films like Shallow Grave, Little Voice etc. So he's bound to look expensive.

I reckon Ewan is the UK's most under-rated actor and worth every penny. He inspired us to ride to the Black Sea and back and write 'Beyond Bucharest', a book which is now raising money for EveryChild. So he can't be all bad!

Forbes, arse sucking arseholes, who gives a flying f*ck what those knobbers think, what makes their opinions so valid ? lets face it they're just in it to make money themselves so they'll print any old shite they think will generate $$

Didn't they just recently include mafia names to court controversy and try and boost circulation .......  knobbers

I do believe that it is a bit tacky to rate an actor by the amount of money their films generate.  These people are artists, trying to create cinematic art.  Would you suggest that Michael Angelo was better than Leonardo DaVinci based on the money his paintings go for on auction?  If Mr. McGregor does nothing more with his life he's still done more than most.  Have he and Charlie been Knighted?

Lmfao!

Hey, according to the article he generates a 225% return on the money invested in him. Just how much more do those money grabbing fcukers at Forbes want? It beats the hell out of the RBS base rate . Maybe we should start banking with Ewan...

Forbes seem to be rating him like some kind of two legged consumer product? Not quite the game he's in, I would have thought. With money behind him and a solid reputation as a quality actor I'm pretty sure he couldn't give a flying fcuk what those cnuts think anyhow! Good luck with your future career Ewan, I hope you make many, many more fine movies and to hell with whether they bring in millions at the box office.
