Knievel: This will be my last jump

Son of legendary daredevil says he's putting on a show one more time

ROBBIE KNIEVEL says that a huge jump over an artificial volcano next month is likely to be his last ever in the USA.

The son of King of the Daredevils Evel has less than a month to study the fire-spewing volcanic terrain around his next motorcycle stunt. Luckily for him, it's Las Vegas, where eruptions can be scheduled hourly, every single night. Knievel will jump the refurbished volcano at The Mirage hotel-casino on his motorcycle as part of a television special on New Year's Eve.

Casino officials unveiled the $25 million facelift for the volcano on Monday night, a 5-minute spectacle of fire and water to a custom soundtrack co-written by former Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart.

Mirage President Scott Sibella says the refurbished volcano is the "crown jewel" of an overhaul of the 20-year-old resort.
