McGuinness ... smoking lap after lap

JOHN MCGUINNESS powered his way to victory in today's six-lap Senior race, giving the Lancastrian his 2nd win of the week and 14th TT title overall.

McGuinness started in his usual aggressive style, clocking up an average of 129.883mph and breaking the existing lap record. He went one better the following lap, cracking the illusive 130mph average. McGuinness kept up the pace throughout the six-lap race, finishing an astonishing 32 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Guy Martin.

Martin, who was timed at over 188mph along the Sulby Straight, came in ahead of Ian Hutchinson, who couldn't quite replicate Wednesday's Supersport victory.

The race was another 1, 2, 3 for Honda.

1st John McGuinness

2nd Guy Martin

3rd Ian Hutchinson
