Anstey ... on a highNew Zealand's Bruce Anstey annhialiated the opposition in today's Superstock TT by winning the race and setting a new lap record into the bargain. Bruce, who was aboard a GSX-R1000K7, went full bore from the start, pulling out an astounding 12 second lead after lap one and went on to double the gap by the end of lap two. The Kiwi also set a new lap record for the Superstock class, too.
John McGuinness, who breezed to victory in yesterday's Superbike race, had to make do with 2nd place on the rostrum, while John's HM Plant Honda team mate, Ian Hutchinson, settled for third. It seemed neither of the two Fireblade-mounted riders could match Anstey's Suzuki blistering pace.
