HONDA MOTORCYCLE India supremo Mr.Shinijo Aoyama has said a second plant in India would be necessary to meet required production beyond 2011.
The company's manufacturing facility at Manesar, has already reached 80% of its installed capacity of 1.2 million units per annum. Considering the steady growth of Indian two wheeler market, the company expects to reach full production capacity by 2010-2011.
Honda India is currently the largest maker of Scooters in India and the company plans to launch a new automatic Scooter, specially designed for India at the coming Auto expo in Delhi. This would be followed by a national launch in February informed Mr.Aoyama.
