A HOSPITAL worker has been found not guilty of sexual assault whilst
carrying out a routine procedure on an injured biker.
Paul Edwards, 31, of Naylor Road, Ellesmere Port had worked at the Countess
of Chester Hospital for 14 years before being suspended after the allegation
was made.
A 27-year-old man made the complaint after receiving treatment at the
Countess of Chester hospital when a serious motorcycle crash left him with a broken
leg and needing 16 metal plates in his face. The jury found Mr Edwards not
guilty after an hour of deliberations at Chester Crown Court on Thursday.
