POLICE ARE appealing for witnesses to come forward after a pensioner suffered serious head injuries and two broken legs in a hit an run incident.
Harry McLellan, 66, was crossing Bonnington Road in Leith when the bike thief collided with the pensioner. The thief did not stop. Mr McLellan's family are now urging the thief to surrender to Police.
The collision took place on a busy road and police believe more people may have seen the crash.
The stolen bike which struck the pensioner was described as a silver Honda CBF 600 with the registration number TN07 GSZ.
