SOUTH YORKSHIRE's police authority has decided to take "no further action" over Chief Constable Meredydd Hughes's speeding conviction, which led to a driving ban, says an article in today's Yorkshire Post.
The authority's senior officer complaints and discipline committee ruled yesterday that the matter had been dealt with adequately by the courts.
But the committee did decide to send a letter to Mr Hughes, expressing the authority's "disappointment" over his behaviour.
