DESPITE THEIR current financial woes, Harley-Davidson still had cause for celebration recently when machine number one million rolled off the production line.
The honours went to a Red Hot Sunglo Sportster 883L, at the Harley-Davidson Kansas City Vehicle and Powertrain Operations. Not a top-end Harley then? No, but the Sportster's revered as the bike that saved Harley's bacon, when sales were at an all-time low and the company needed an affordable bike to appeal to a wider audience
The Sportster joined Harley Davidson's Dark Custom line-up in January in the shape of the Iron 883.
