CHANCELLOR George Osborne has announced that the government will postpone August's planned 3p rise in fuel duty until January next year.

The controversial plans had been under criticism from motoring groups and Labour and MPs from other parties had threatened to force a Commons vote on the issue.

Mr Osborne said: "We are on the side of working families and businesses and this will fuel our recovery at this very difficult economic time for the world."

He added that fuel duty would now be 10p a litre less than under the plans inherited from Labour.

So, in fact, they've not scrapped it, what they've done is simply postpone it until January in the hopes something else will grab our attention and we'll forget about it.

That's why you shouldn't vote Tory, unless you have an IQ of room temperature. As you know.

Oh? Like Labour is that much better? Or Lib-Dem?

Fact:- Fuel costs are going one way only. Up. No matter WHO is in charge. Most of it, by the way, is the OPEC nations artificially keeping supply short and prices on the up.
