Glasgow city hosts Superbikes in The Square

Some of the biggest names in motorcycle racing, along with their machines, will be in Glasgow city centre tonight!

GLASGOW CITY centre is to become a motorsports arena when some of the world's fastest bikers will take part in a motorcycle extravaganza in Glasgow today.

Superbikes in the Square, which is expected to attract around 20,000 spectators, will feature some of the biggest names in motorcycling, including TWO and visordown.com's Niall Mackenzie.

The event will see George Square converted into a mini track as teams from the British Superbike Championships thrill the crowds with demonstration laps from 5.30-8pm.

Superbikes in the Square heralds the build-up to Scotland's top motor-racing weekend of 2008, including the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship and Bennetts British Superbikes at Knockhill next weekend. Win free paddock passes by entering our competition on the link below.
