Get your kids on the road for just over two grand

Free insurance for teenagers ain't to be sniffed at...

Sick of giving your kids lifts everywhere? Fed up of your weekend's SKY and Eurosport race coverage being ruined by incessant demands on Dad's taxi?

Well Yamaha UK have just added this nifty fifty to the Aerox scooter range.

The Virgin Mobile special edition, as modelled here by Mr Thomas Hill, costs 2199 on the road. For some reason, the big silver truck in the background seems to be dominating the photograph. Perhaps it's included in the price...

The price, incidentally, includes free tpft insurance and you can also add up to three members of your family to the same gratis cover. The cover can be upgraded to fire and theft from just under 200 quid. This, compared to getting car insurance for a 17 year-old, is mere pocket money.

The Virgin Mobile Aerox also comes with 12 months RAC home and roadside cover. Interestingly this policy includes lost keys, punctures and running out of petrol thus eliminating any chances of parental sleep disturbance.

There is one downside though. How many sixteen year-old lads are going to be happy about riding a scooter with 'Virgin' painted down the side? Hmmm.

Yamaha also offer a yellow/black speed block option.

Go down and bother your local Yamaha dealer or, to avoid face-to-face contact, just log on to www.yamaha-motor.co.uk for the whole tinterweb experience
