Watch Dougie Lampkin riding the streets of Manchester for nowt on Saturday 1st September
TRIALS legend Dougie Lampkin will headline a free trials event in Manchester's city centre on Saturday 1st September.
Taking place in Piccadilly Gardens, the trials section will make use of the green space that includes a large vertical wall, a fountain and a curved single story building in the area along with specially designed sections.
Lining up against Lampkin will include current World number two Adam Raga, 2011 Youth FIM Trial World Champion Jack Sheppard, World Pro rider Alexz Wigg, 2012 Vice Youth Trial World champion Bradley Cox and Gas Gas UK rider Sam Haslam.
The day will also include youth training sessions lead by Lampkin and the group to teach the basics of trials riding.
Speaking ahead of the event, 12-times champion Lampkin said: "Being able to bring a specialised extreme sport to the people is a great opportunity and one that should really lift the profile of Trial to new people. The location in Manchester is just perfect and will create a very special atmosphere. I really think the public will be amazed when they see the riders in action, especially as they will be able to get so close to the sections."
