Dani Amatriain arrested in Barcelona over harassing phone calls

REPORTS ARE coming in this morning that Dani Amatriain, the former manager of Jorge Lorenzo and Pol and Alex Espargaro, has been arrested in Barcelona after making death threats against his former riders.

The other crimes Amatriain is accused of committing include obstruction of justice and damages.

According to the Spanish press, the threats have been going on for months and have recently included harassing phone calls and threats of bodily harm to the riders.

Amatriain, a former GP rider himself, split from his riders last year, saying he wanted to retire from paddock life.
