AMERICAN COMPANY Samson has unveiled a prototype of its flying motorcycle dubbed the Switchblade, claiming it could be on sale in less than two years.
The aircraft will be aimed at the home-build market, with an anticipated price of $60,000 plus an additional $20,000 for engine and avionics.
"It's expensive, but it's two things - a motorcycle and a plane," said company owner and CEO Sam Bousfield.
The three-wheel Switchblade would carry two people plus cargo and reach 160 mph in the air. The machine's economy is good too; 60 miles per gallon on road and 22 miles per gallon when airborne.
Would you ride/fly one?
