Funky looks, same motor as the Burgman - will the Gemma make it to Britain?

Let's hope the new Gemma makes it to the UK

SUZUKI HAS announced specs for its new Gemma scooter for the first time.

The scooter looks set for the Japanese market only for the time being, but given the recent fuel price hikes there are strong rumours of it finding its way over here.

Using the motor from the four-stroke 250cc Burgman, but with a new management system, the bike will be a full seven kilos lighter than the Burgman, 10cm longer with a longer wheelbase for stability.

The price (based on what the bike will go on sale for in Japan) will be around £5,000.
