Guzzi's new V7 Café Classic

FIRST PICS just in of the new Moto Guzzi V7 Café Classic.

Details are sketchy but it's clear to see the bike's based around the company's V7 Classic roadster, with a touch of 60's cafe racer styling, in the shape of dropped handlebars, a sculpted seat, upswept exhausts and a stylish paint scheme.

Availability and pricing to be announced.

Love the styling and the sensible mudguards, but the bars are a bit low for an old fart like me.

Alan, it's easy.  Buy the V7 Cafe Classic for its great looks and install handlebars and cables from the V7 Classic for comfort.  It would also be desirable to install a set of classic Lafronconi Competizione 'mufflers' in order to give full voice to the V-twin choir.

I like that a lot. And the V7 Classic. In fact I like what Guzzi's doing in general these days.

There's something in the look of that transverse V-twin engine that makes it look, to me, like a proper man's bike. And since the quality issues have cleared up, there's no reason not to want a Guzzi nowadays.

I may be wrong here, but I can't see Guzzi's name in the list of exibitors at the bike show. Are they not attending?

I've fancied a 'guzzi ever since I saw that Dirty Harry film [Magnum Force] where that cop had one...... you know, the one that pulled the 'hood' over and blew him and his buddies away. nice.

Never had one yet but there's still time.......... just.
