TAIWANESE MANUFACTURER Kymco has launched the new Myroad 700i maxiscooter.

The Myroad is powered by an 8-valve fuel-injected parallel-twin, which produces a claimed 55bhp and has a top speed of just under 90mph.

The machine also features 3-way electronically adjustable suspension, via a handlebar-mounted switch, as well as ABS braking.

Expected early next year, the 700i will retail for around £4900.

If you know your bikes, scooters, you should know that the ist year on a new machine is always losing money, and that some people will not like it and sell it,belive me i have done it my self,

So it's a 700cc parallel twin which produces 55bhp and will only get to 90mph?

Fuck me that's slow. How you gonna keep up with motorway traffic on that?

Posted: 25/09/2008 at 18:43

wozza
Does seem a little slow as the 40BHP Piaggio master engine could do around the 100-105mph mark.

Maybe it weighs 8 tonnes??

Its not what you got,but how you use it.

Any body can spend lots of money and can only go in a straight line,

but ex-races like me can go round bends faster with only limted h.p.

Hark at her.

I can go round corners too with 'only' 140bhp.

And I've never raced in my life. The point I was making was that it seems slow in comparison to other road traffic, and when you consider the majority of journeys that a vehicle like this will be expected to make - ie commuting, Motorways, major A roads etc - then the performance is somewhat underwhelming. An XT600 will go faster with less streamlining and less power. And I'm prepared to bet that you can't go greenlaning on the Kymco.

May b,but a xt 600 is to big and heavy to green lane on,try a xt225 serow.
