Campaign to raise motorcycle awareness in driving test ends on Saturday

THE petition to raise motorcycle awareness by getting a compulsory question added to theory comes to an end this Saturday.

Set-up by bike insurers, Bennetts, the campaign currently has over 70,000 signatures but there is still a big push for the remaining days to increase the e-petition figure to 100,000.

Despite motorcycles making up 1% of road users, they account for 20% of all road fatalities in the UK

The e-petition has been backed by three of the most influential motorcycling organisations bodies; MCIA, MAG and the BMF, as well as celebrity bikers Suzi Perry, Matthew Pinsent, Iwan Thomas and Ray Quinn, and former double WSB champion James Toseland, MotoGP star Cal Crutchlow and Moto2’s Scott Redding.
