Ducati plan 200bhp naked

If the rumours are true the Monstersedici could be with us sometime next year

NOT SURE we believe this one, but it's a rumour currently doing the rounds in Germany so we thought we'd tell you about it. Apparently, Ducati is planning its own take on the Suzuki B-King Uber muscle-naked-bike type of motorcycle with a Desmosedici-powered Monster-style bike.

It's already being called the Monstersedici RR by our Germanic cousins and according to them, will consist of a beefed-up Monster with the 200bhp Desmo MotoGP-derived motor squeezed into the chassis. Sounds great, but as it's only the Germans who are talking about it, it might just be a flight of fancy in the Fatherland.

We'll bring you more on the rumours as they come through.

Hey, they've coopted an idea and name I had! When the D16RR came out here in the states I decided to wait for a rich guy to bin one up. My idea was to buy the motor off him, graft it onto my S4R, and make myself a blue Monstersedici.

I want royalties!

Mmmm? A 200 BHP Monster Eh?

Will Ducati give you a free Body-Bag with each one?

Speedy.
might have 200BHP but does it come with free AA or RAC cover, as it will probably break down before you have any fun on it.

how so?, the " new " Triumphs as far as I know have a great record on reliability, where as Ducati and Italian motorcycles in general ( apart from Aprillia ) have a great record on being unreliable, especially with electrics.

Bet you own a Ducati, dont you.

Mind you it will be handy having a naked bike, atleast you wont have as much to strip down on a ducati when you do one of the many many repairs your be doing.
