Eco-friendly 'City Pearl' to be distributed through existing motorbike dealerships
THE COMPANY behind Ducati's zero-emission e-bike has begun distribution of the lightweight battery-powered bike.
Ducati's 'City Pearl' e-bike was unveiled at last year’s EICMA, by Italwin, the company responsible for the production and distribution of the eco-friendly machine. The ‘City Pearl’ has a 250 watt motor mounted in its front wheel hub, with a lithium battery and other electronics on a luggage rack above the rear wheel.
The first models recently went on sale in Italy, through a selected network of retailers in the bike sector and via a selection of Ducati motorcycle stores.
The Cucciolo, named after the 1st Ducati motorbike, is the latest in a planned series of new e-bikes from Ducati. The machine has an aluminum frame with an integrated rear carrier that holds the battery.
The styling of the bike is retro or vintage with a Brooks handmade saddle.
A retail price is TBA.
