DUCATI have announced that the new 1098 will be available in Yellow and Black as well as their signature Red. But then, we all knew this was coming.

Following an online survey on the blog of Federico Minoli, President and CEO of the company, Ducati Motor Holding announced that the 1098 and 1098 S Superbike will be made available in two colours additional to the traditional red and the special 'Tricolore' versions.

The 1098 will receive the striking yellow scheme, contrasted with black wheels and a 'racing grey' frame. The 'midnight black' colour is available for the 1098 S model and complemented with a red frame and black wheels which have '' style red pin-striped rims.

'Ducati 1098' logos in a 'dark aluminium' shade complete the new colour schemes which will be produced in March 2007.

The 1098 Superbike was launched to the world at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan in November 2006 and, with the 1098 S Tricolore winning the "Most Beautiful Motorcycle in Show" award, was an immediate success.

There's something about the Black one that stirs us up a bit more than might be healthy. Good work Ducati!
