Driver banned for shunting biker
Teacher disqualified and fined after ramming motorcyclist in rush hour frenzy
A MOTORIST who repeatedly shunted a commuters's motorbike while in a rush to get to work has been handed a driving ban and hefty fine.
Christopher Parker, a teacher from Leeds, rammed his Volvo into Robert Hill's BMW motorcycle in order to bully the biker out of his way, Leeds Crown Court heard.
The incident was spotted by a police motorcyclist, who arrested Parker and charged him with dangerous driving.
Parker told Police: "I'm in a hurry."
In court, Parker, of Keddleston Road, Roundhay, denied dangerous driving but was fined £1,000 with £750 costs and banned for a year. He will also have to take an extended driving test when his ban ends.

Were these guys moving? How dangerous is that? £1000 fine and a disqualification seems he got of lightly, yet again.

I had the same thing happen to me and the police didn't give 2 shits as there wasn't much damage. (although, this driver only shunted me once purposely. I had his numberplate too. The police are wanks.

Holy shit! Thats a scary thought! while the bike was moving? Fuck that! Im suprised the officer was calm enough to make an arrest! im suprised he didnt take his batton to the guys face! In theory, that could of been wreckless endangerment and if he had knocked the biker off, assult with a deadly weapon!

You have been watching too much LA law ..There is no offence of reckless endangerment in the UK nor of assault with a deadly weapon..
Dangerous driving, Assault or wanton and furious driving (if anyone has injuries as a result)..

As they say those who can't - teach. Car drivers. PAH! I had a guy drive at me on the pavement while I was on my training run. Wasn't as if I was slowing him down. Infact he was parked blocking the entire pavement. I should've jumped all his Mazda.

A bloke swerved into me when I was filtering on the A12 one evening. I dropped back behind the bastard and followed him for quite a few miles. He knew I was behind him and was trying desperately trying to get away - and couldn't. Eventually I'd calmed down and let him go at the A12/A14 junction but I know he was shitting himself.
Did this the other night (I'm so ashamed!) and did cross my mind that it was very "Duel" like. Could see the guy in the Smart checking his mirrors and seeing my Viffers headlights there after every corner.

I once had a guy in a Merc move across and try and squeeze me as I was passing him on the A12 - I had to swerve to avoid him and gave him the finger. I stopped later on to get petrol and when I rejoined the road, who should I be behind but Mr Merc. I rode past him slowly staring through the window and he was rigidly looking directly forward as his wife was giving him loads of verbal. I bet he thought I'd pulled over and waited for him. He was so red in the face as I went past that it just made me chuckle.
You have the paitence of a saint! That happened to a friend while i was riding with him. A sports car driver swerved as he over took in slow traffic. My mate had to jam on the brakes and almost dropped his bike, fortunatly he was smart and used his foot to balance himself right on the door of the sports car, He did it with enough force he also accidenttly dented the sports car door. Not that he didn't deserve it mind!

Had a Merc try to squeeze me at the end of a slip-road(2 lanes into 1). Nothing at the back of me, but, he just kept coming. I ended up puting some bents in his doors. 100yds down the road, he was at the end of a very long line of traffic and I just filtered past him and give him a little wave

The fact he is a teacher and driving a Volvo i think is punishment enough , what a sad cock. I had a guy in a Honda R Type swerve at me whilst filtering, thought about getting behind him and giving any given door a nice addition to the overall shape , but calmed down and went on my way..... a lot faster than him given he was stuck in one god awful queue.

As a teacher, a driver and a biker, I can only say there are wankers wherever you go. I had a bloke in a white van follow me to work and threaten me because I overtook him (in my Clio). The police charged him with a public order offence and fined him £80. If only I'd been on the bike, he couldn't have kept up with me!

As a teacher, a driver and a biker
Never mind, you might get over it one day.

I don't mind if it's accidental or if they apologise but when it's deliberate or they try and flip you off. Fuck 'em, I give them justice on the spot. It's the only way, I have tried all other methods. Here's one I made earlier: Road Rage attack on the M4 Screwd.

and it was a Volvo too! I thought that was just a standing joke, but it does seem to ring true - Volvo drivers are generally twats. Canis,
I drive a VOLVO V40, Thank You very much And I is a very considerate driver when it comes to Bikers/Riders ! So

Hi screwd. Read the link, congratulations on keeping cool under stress and trying to do the right thing. So what was the end result? Did the police take any action in the end?

Thanks Flo, it's quite a story isn't it? Well, I must have posted up the result in a different thread but to cut the answer short; all the police ever did after my spending several days chasing this up legally was to send the perpetrator (Gold Mercedes) a letter telling him they were not going to take any action. Whoever the owner was at the time changed their details (re-registered the vehicle) within days of the incident. Waste of fucking time and for the police to go out of their way to tell him they're not going to do anything is counter productive. How does that affect his judgement the next time he wants to barge a biker out of the way I wonder? Since then I still don't take any shite but I won't bother the so called police force. They are too busy with more important things (I honestly believe they are too, it's really a shame they don't have the resources to deal with stuff like this) so I have to hand out justice wherever I can. It will one day be the death of me, I know it. Screwd.

Well I'll be damned, here is my original update to the M4 road rage thing: Police are Crap. Official ! What venom, what spite! Boy I wish I could muster that much angst right now. I was a bit pished towards the end, it shows... Screwd.

I'm NOT advocating this, but a friend used to carry old spark plugs in one of his outer pockets. You would not believe the damage one of those little bastards can do to a car windscreen. The worst I've ever done is take out a wing mirror or two. Don't do it anymore, obviously, being all grown up and responsible these days

Dangerous driving, Assault or wanton and furious driving (if anyone has injuries as a result).. There is you know ...........there ARE 3 legal systems in the UK Reckless ConductCommon LawAt common law, culpable and reckless conduct, which may, or does, cause injury to other persons may incur criminal liability. The degree of culpability and recklessness required to constitute the crime is an utter disregard of what the consequences of the act in question may be so far as the public are concerned. Note Common Law- Definition and IntentEvery attack directed to take effect physically on the person of another is assault, whether or not actual injury is inflicted. There must be criminal intent: an accidental injury, even although caused by a mischievous act, does not amount to assault. (H.M.A. v. Phipps, 1905, 4 Adam 616). But it is not necessary, in order to constitute this crime, that the attack should take effect. To throw a stone at another person is assault, although the attacker’s aim is faulty or the stone is evaded. Where A intends to assault B and strikes C instead, by the doctrine of transferred intent, he is guilty of assaulting C. (Roberts v. Hamilton, 1989 S.C.C.R. 240). And can be aggrivated by mode of perpetration ie use of firearm or vehicle etc.........
