Discovered: 8500-mile 1952 Vincent Rapide

Bonhams to auction totally original British classic barn find

A 1952 Vincent Rapide with just 8,500 miles on the clock from new is to go under the hammer on Thursday January 6th, 2011, at Bonhams Las Vegas Motorycle Auction, USA.

Th iconic British classic, painted in rare Chinese Red, has been untouched for nearly half a century. Found in Fresno, California, where it had been sold new by the local Indian motorcycle dealer, the mothballed machine has matching numbers and California black licence plate.

Its auction estimate is between $85,000-$100,000 (£58,000 - £70,000).
