CALIFORNIAN shop Garage Company has built this custom bike for David Beckham, proving that despite failing at the ‘macho biker look’ his money can buy two-wheeled cool.

Yoshi Kosaka of Garage Company told Visordown that Beckham requested an old unfinished look for his bike. The project took a year to build and is based around an S&S Knucklehead 93" motor, with a five-speed transmission and an electric starter.

The frame is a classic 1940's style modified with lots of old and new one-off parts; including an original 1934 Harley-Davidson front-end. All components were specially made for an aged finish and paint was done by Zero Engineering.

The concept is entirely from Yoshi, in what he says is a "1930-40's race-bike barn-find," and added that, "The bike is very fast, looks old school but runs like new. David loves his motorcycle."

Beckham was papped riding the bike on his way to meeting the American President, Barack Obama. The Daily Mail noted that the former England captain had gone for 'style over safety' opting to wear a shirt and tie instead of leathers.

The Garage Company bike joins the 36-year-old's growing motorcycle collection that already includes a Ducati Desmosedici RR and a Confederate F131 Hellcat Combat, the same bikes owned by his friend Tom Cruise. The pair have also started their own club together in Hollywood, called 'The Midnight Boys Bike Club'.

Why would you have a disc brake on the back and leave a drum brake on the front, or am I missing the point.

Tragic and hilarious. Tom cruise would have to be one of the saddest characters on planet earth. Poor Becks, so much money yet such little up top to go with it.

Let's not hold back. They may as well have called it the Gay Boys Midnight Cottaging Club.

Where is the brake light?

The bike is very fast? Compared to what?

David: "Here's a million quid. Make me something that looks like it broke down and got run over by a truck. Fanks. Innit?"
