'Flyin' Ryan Griffiths aims to break 25-year-old long jump record this weekend at the Northamptonshire Beer Festival
BRITISH DAREDEVIL 'Flyin' Ryan Griffiths is attempting to break Eddie Kidd's long-standing 194ft British record for the longest motorcycle jump, at the Northamptonshire Beer Festival this weekend.
The record was set by Kidd in the early 1980s; Griffiths is aiming to crack the 200ft barrier when he takes to the air this coming Saturday.
Mr Griffiths told the Northampton Chronicle: "This is a jump I've been thinking about trying to break for a while and I'm confident I can do it. I've got some great supporters in the county and it'd be good to break it with them there. The record was set in the early 1980s and I'd like to think with my Honda I'll be able to break the 200ft mark."
