A SUPERCHARGED Vincent Black lightning broke UK auction records when it sold for £200,000, during Bonhams' motorcycle auction at Stafford Classic Bike Show, this weekend.

The 1951 one-off machine, which was built to crack the land speed record, was predicted to reach between £220,000 - £340,000.

The new owner will need to stump up more than the £200,000 asking price, as Bonhams' commission and VAT, bumps the final bill to a whopping £221,500.
