It will be interesting to see if it, the required EPA certification, holds up in court...

Since Callifornia is NOT requiring the same EPA certification for auto exhaust, I'd bet the law gets tossed for being discriminatory...

2013 is a long way off.  As a California sportbike rider, I'm happy to see them crackdown on the Harley boys rides (and that's exactly what they're doing).   When we change exhausts, it's to lose weight and gain hp, for them it's pure noise.  Ok, maybe we like the new sound better too....

I know what you mean.  I am fed up with hearing weekend "Live to Ride - Ride to Work" heros pretending to be Dennis Hopper.

You just know they said "Put one of them really noisy things on it my good man" at the dealers.

I've always ridden quietly and legally - everyone wants bikes off the road and these loud idiots are hammering in the nails.

Everytime I see a loud bike I wince and think "Cheers mate - if you've just ridden past a councillor or MP our time has been shortened by 6 months: you twit"

Theres two types of loud exhausts, good ones and Harleys. Harleys give us all a bad name and you should be allowed to shoot people who ride them  without warning them first. But a nice dulcet tone out of a 1000cc twin with an after market exhaust is like listening to birds sing in the morning dew. That little dick who rides his dirt bike without an exhaust in the park across from my house will also die soon.

I live in Ca and the majority of shit sounding bikes are Harleys. Arnold's included ! I hate the law but understand its' purpose. Those two wheeled tractors must be stopped. . .
