Race transporters, tool chests, motorcycles, office equipment to be auctioned at the end of the month
RECENTLY DEFUNCT Buell Motorcycles will see the company's assets sold in a liquidation sale at the end of this month.
The sale, which includes over 1,000 items, ranging from manufacturing equipment to articulated trucks, will be conducted by Michigan-based Liquid Asset Partners.
“Buell had a great run as a quality American motorcycle with fans worldwide,” says Bill Melvin Jr., CEO of Liquid Asset Partners. “Buell spared no expense in making their beautiful bikes and in purchasing the factory equipment. There is a tremendous interest in the equipment and vehicles left in the factory and there are so many tools nobody will go home empty handed.”
Several motorcycles from the company's competitors are also in the sale: a 1998 KTM Dakar, a 2008 KTM SuperDuke, a 1999 BMW 1100RT and a 2007 Triumph Speed Triple, will go under the hammer on 28th January.
Since his company's demise, founder Erik Buell has set up shop building racebikes, under the newly formed 'Erik Buell Racing'.
