Bikes to star at Cholmondeley Pageant of Power

Millyard V10 leads the line-up

THE Cholmondeley Pageant of Power organisers have revealed the first details of bike-related displays at this year’s event on 12-14 June.

Star turns announced so far include the unique Millyard Viper V10, a one-off built around a 500bhp, 8-litre Dodge Viper engine, and a Suzuki Hayabusa superstreet drag bike making 650bhp.

Elsewhere, Sammy Miller is due to appear along with two bikes from his museum, the 1954 BMW RS54 and a 1925 Brough Superior SS100, and Dougie Lampkin will be out to show his skills on a trials bike.

Triumph has also been confirmed as attending with a selection of its machines.

James Hall, event director at CPOP, said: “This is just a small selection of the amazing bikes set to thrill the crowds at this year’s event, which we feel will really showcase the power, skill and individuality present within the motorcycle community.

“With a wide range of content, from trials bikes to high speed drag bikes, we feel the two-wheeled element of the event will be even more exhilarating than ever.”

Away from bikes, there will be a class for cars with more than 1000bhp and displays from the world’s only flying Vulcan bomber and the Red Bull Matadors aerobatic team.
