The two men make off with Thompson's KTM

A BIKER from Gateshead has had his KTM EXC250 stolen by thieves in the fifth time he's been targeted in just nine months.

Leon Thompson, 27, had his motorcycle stolen after a pair of youths first inspected his bike and then returned just half an hour later with bolt-croppers.

Thompson, an oil-rig worker, has had his and his girlfriend's cars broken into and vandalised. He installed CCTV to overlook where his bikes were kept but this didn't deter the thieves.

Secured with a large chain into a ground-anchor, the thieves crept onto Thompson's property and cut the lock before wheeling the KTM away, all in plain view of the CCTV.

Thompson said: "I don’t want them getting away with this. They must be relatively local as they managed to get massive bolt cutters and come back in just over half an hour. I think someone would recognise them if they know them and watch the video."

You can see the footage here.

Sorry to read this!

Rather than work for it themselves... they steal somebody elses bike.
Any thieves reading this... I HOPE YOU DIE HORRIBLE DEATHS!

Unfortunately it is not only joy riders that steal bikes... it might has been stolen for parts, or to order. Too many race teams original bike registrations have found their way onto ringed bikes. Bike breakers that don't ask too many questions, club racers buying cheap spares that are too good to be true.

We all have to work together to stop this shit happening! Less demand, less supply.

C*nts.

They'll get away with it though, even if you find the bike/car on ebay and go and get it back. the police arent interested in it, its easier to write parking tickets and catch people doing 37 in a 30.

You'd have thought he'd have bought a decent chain after the first time his bike got stolen, let alone the fourth!

Sorry to hear this poor guy's story. You'd think the Police would wake up and do something, but no, he has to get the thieving scum on cctv right ? So then he does, and what do they do ? You're lucky to get a crime number these days. Can we take a class action against the Pigs for apathy/negligence/derelicton/etc ?

Even if the police do find the stolen bike then they will charge the innocent party a recovery fee to get it back, but if the guy went and got his own bike back and had to defend himself by hitting one of the thieves he would end up being the one arrested for assault. The worlds completly ass backwards.

This effects us all, a total failure of the Police and the justice system to protect the victim. They have given up.
