Bike stolen whilst rider in hospital

Thieves take off with rider's CCM whilst he was in hospital after crashing

THIEVES have stolen a motorbike that was left at the side of the road whilst the owner was in hospital receiving treatment.

A silver CCM, with the numberplate HY03 EUD, was left at the Mill Pond roundabout in Wildridings after the accident on Thursday evening, which took place around 5pm. The rider was taken to hospital by a family member for a fractured hand and injured legs.

The CCM was secured with a disc-lock for collection later on, but it was stolen from the roadside between 5:30pm and 7pm.

PC Michael Foot, of Bracknell police station, told getbracknell.co.uk: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence.

“This is an extremely busy roundabout, and it is more than likely that this bike would have been placed onto a vehicle of some sort and taken away, so someone must have seen this theft take place.”

Anyone with information can call Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505505 or 0800 555 111.

No surprise, i live in Bracknell and it's not got a good reputation, KTM and BMW have shops in Bracknell and they've both been broken into this last 6 months.

Scum of the Earth hope they are forced to scope their eyes out with a rusty spoon for sustinance.

Is this one of those occasions when we quite like the police?

This almost happened to me a while ago. Had a spill and was taken to a nearby hospital. Whilst there the police came to do breath tests and the like. They told me that they had moved my bike to the side of the road, but recommended I pick it up as soon as possible since it would probably be stolen. They were so blunt. I asked if they could do something and I got a sigh and a shoulder shrug from one of them, who suggested that I try to ride it back. I got lucky and my bike was still there when I returned.
