Officer collides with oncoming car

SCOTLAND POLICE HAVE confirmed a police motorcyclist has died while riding his motobike after a collision with a car.



Malcolm Wigham, 42, was travelling near his home in Livingston, West Lothian, when he hit a car driving in the opposite direction.

The crash happened on Thursday on Drumshoreland Road, Pumpherston.

Sources say Mr Wigham was part of the Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) from Tayside Police.However it's not clear whether Mr Wigham was on duty at the time.

Police said the victim's next of kin had been informed. The driver of the other car was not seriously injured in the crash.

Police are seeking for witnesses.
