Aussie Police suspect young biker over bush fires

Young motorcyclist seen speeding away from start of fire

POLICE IN Australia are hunting a young motorcyclist in connection with the outbreak of bush fires that have left 21 people dead.

A photograph taken by a school teacher allegedly captures the suspect in the act. Cameron Tingay managed to take a quick picture of the offender before he raced away.

"I saw him hiding among the trees just beyond my bottom paddock," Mr Tingay said.

Part of the registration number of the black road bike, which was wearing learner plates, was confirmed as 'BT505'.

Police believe he is responsible for at least two fires in the district.

Australia's Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, said the actions of whoever started the fire were akin to "mass murder".

Motorcyclists don't start fires, arsonist do.  Once again the this site's news editors search for the most tentative of threads in order to make a 'motorcycle' story.  Using the same sloppy logic we could also assume this suspect, who was spotted "hiding among the trees", was an arboraculturalist whom, as is widely known, are capable of most anything.  Some of them might even ride bikes! Now there's a story this lazy bunch will surely jump on.

Yet another smarmy post from would-be/could-be journalist and general know-it-all Peak Rider.

Well done mate. You tell 'em...

I must say when I read that story initially I thought the motorcyclist reference was unfair.  But then I realised it was a factual report and at the end of the day if he was spotted on a bike then it's only right that he was reported as being on a bike.
