HUNGARIAN motorcyclist Mathyas Balint is the living embodiment of the saying 'age is but a number' after the 85 year-old picked up his brand new Ducati 1199 Panigale S.

Balint was immediately attracted to the new Ducati superbike after it was unveiled at the EICMA show last year, so much so that he was the first person to order one at his local dealership.

Ducati-fan Mathyas already owns a 1098R and when he arrived to pick up his new superbike machine he said that couldn't wait to get out and ride it, but admitted that he isn't a fan of ABS, as brakes were almost non existent when he started riding and he is already happy with the bite of modern brakes.

Do you think you'll still be riding when your 85?

Slightly off topic but i noticed in the third picture how compared to the rest of the bike that side stand is really quite ugly.

When I was 18 I meet an old guy on a Scott motorcycle who was 89 he said I only do about a thousand miles a year OMG!!!

At that point I was only doing two to three thousand miles on my RD400. 27 years later I do about 8 to 10 thousand per year, I always think I just hope I can do a thousand when I’m 89, still it may be on electrical scooter by then!!!

Good old boy, do Titanium knees give off sparks?
