MOST CONCEPTS are just a dream, with no grip on reality. But this Honda CB750 concept by designer Igor Chak is firmly rooted in reality.

Looking forward to 2015, Igor predicts this is the kind of bike we'll be riding. The cool motorcycle concept balances attention and distraction while driving. The bike features an on-board computer, which can be controlled through a 5-inch OLED multi-touch display positioned right on the fuel tank.

There are three menus: GPS, Drive modes and diagnostics mode. And it also features radar technology to “sense an upcoming head-on collision and will automatically slow the bike.”

This eco-ride is powered with a four-cylinder liquid hydrogen engine and has a six-speed dual-clutch transmission with electronic lurch and traction control. Almost every feature can be electronically tuned including the front and rear suspension, drive mode etc. - most of these features can be manually disabled to suit the driver simultaneously. Sensors show readouts updating every 1/10th of a second and can adjust everything on the fly.

The question is, do you like it?

CB's have a different seating position, that must be a CBR. Wonder if a touch screen works with winter gloves on?

I can see a less jagged version driving on the road. No doubt about that, but this will not be the kind of bike people will be riding in 2015. 2020-25 maybe ya but not that soon for a bike like that. We'll ease into those first.

Where are the hydrogen tanks and passanger foot pegs, and who the fuck could ride one ? I've seen many similar designs in Japanese fantasy comic books, and I recon this drawing was lifted from one. Maybe ask its computer for a self diagnosis on what use it is in the real world.

Where's the fairing? What's the point of all that plastic if it's not going to keep the wind off?

This is very much NOT rooted in reality! How do you work on it when even the yoke and bars are covered in ridiculous amounts of un-aerodynamic plastic?

Why is the seat SO high compared to the bars? Maybe to make it look 'radical' and 'concept'...certainly not to make it look like a better bike...so NOT really rooted in reality then.

The GPS screen is a good idea, but why is it tilted forwards, the opposite of what you'd want?

And it looks like a cow.

The one on the left looks nice. The weird looking thing on the right?

How the fuck do you even get on the damn thing?

Also, the rake looks far too shallow for hub centre steering to be a good idea.; which this looks like it has.

I prefer my mean greenie Z750, thank you very much. I'd even prefer the bus (anyone know what a bus is? I hear it's one of them big things that get in the way and cuts us up...)
