HERE ARE the first images of the new 2009 GSX-R1000, spotted on French mag Motorevue's website.

The images aren't that clear (which leads us to believe the images are genuine, rather than an office best guess) but from what we've heard this is how Suzuki's 2009 flagship superbike will look.

Phew!! Thank God, now the British motorcycle press has got something they can enthuse about again for the next 6 months.

I would hate to take possession of a Suzuki that was an ex-press fleet bike, all those strange dried stains and vaseline encrusted exhaust pipes.

As a gixxer fan Im hoping its not the K9 looks to much like the K7/8 and very boring, cant see any steps forward unlike last years blade and the new R1, think Suzuki have got it wrong, heres hoping its its a fake
